The National Bank of Romania is launching in the numismatic circuit, starting on November 18, 2024, a gold coin and a silver coin with the theme of 300 years since the erection of the Stavropoleos Monastery Church in Bucharest, according to a press release from the central bank, informs Agerpres.
The obverse of the gold coin presents a decorative element in Brancoven style from the porch of the Stavropoleos church, the inscription "ROMANIA" in a circular arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the nominal value "100 LEI" and the year of issue "2024".
The obverse of the silver coin shows a decorative element in Brancoven style from the porch of the Stavropoleos church, the inscription "ROMANIA" in a circular arc, the coat of arms of Romania, the nominal value "10 LEI" and the year of issue "2024".
The common reverse of the gold and silver coins shows the Stavropoleos Church and the circular arc inscription "STAVROPOLEOS MONASTERY CHURCH - 300 YEARS".
The gold and silver coins are packed in transparent methacrylate capsules and are accompanied by presentation brochures and certificates of authenticity, written in Romanian, English and French, bearing the signatures of the governor of the BNR and the central cashier.
The maximum circulation for the gold coin is 1,000 pieces, and for the silver coin it is 5,000 pieces.
The selling price for the gold coin is 4,200.00 lei, exclusive of VAT, including the presentation brochure and the certificate of authenticity, and for the silver coin is 540.00 lei, exclusive of VAT, including the presentation brochure and the certificate of authenticity.
Gold coins and silver coins with the theme of 300 years since the construction of the Stavropoleos Monastery Church in Bucharest have circulation power on the territory of Romania.
The launch of these coins into the numismatic circuit is carried out through the Bucharest, Cluj, Constanta, Dolj, Iasi and Timis regional branches of the National Bank of Romania.
