President Klaus Iohannis on Monday signed into law the bill providing for the Public Prosecution Ministry - the Prosecutor's Office attached to Romania's top court - joining the Network of Prosecutors General and Equivalent Institutions in Supreme Courts of the European Union (NADAL network), with all the rights and obligations attached to this membership.
Under this law, the payment as of 2024 of the annual fee for the Public Prosecution Ministry's participation as a full member to the NADAL Network is also approved, with the amount standing at the equivalent in domestic lei of 2,000 euros/year. The money is ensured from the state budget, through the annual budget approved for the Public Prosecution Ministry.
The NADAL network, created in 2009, brings together the Prosecutors General from EU member states.
