The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) will implement a EU-funded EUR 20 million project for the development of the National Veterinary Information System for Food Safety (SINVSA).
The contract was signed on Thursday, at the headquarters of the Authority for the Digitalisation of Romania, by the ANSVSA president, Alexandru Bociu, together with Ana Maria Busoniu - director general of the Intermediary Body for the Promotion of the Information Society (OIPSI), who signed on behalf of and for the Smart Growth, Digitalisation and Financial Instruments Program (PoCIDIF) Management Authority of the Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE).
According to the cited source, the project, worth more than EUR 20 million, is financed from European funds through the Smart Growth, Digitalisation and Financial Instruments Program (PoCIDIF) 2021-2027 Programme and marks a historic moment in the modernisation of the institution's activity, representing an essential step in the direction of digitising public services offered to citizens, veterinarians and economic operators.
"The project will significantly contribute to increasing the quality of public services, reducing administrative costs, aligning with European regulations and, at the same time, facilitating citizens' access to modern, efficient and transparent services. The implementation of SIDISVA will transform the way in which data and processes are managed in the veterinary and food safety field, bringing Romania in line with the most advanced European standards in the field," the press release states.
SIDISVA will integrate complex functionalities, including: digital management of documents and laboratory samples (LIMS and DMS); geospatial mapping of holdings and authorised units; a modern public services portal, accessible to citizens and companies; the digitalisation of control, surveillance and authorisation activities; integration with national and European systems such as ROeID, eIDAS, SNIIA, APIA, ONRC, etc.
