The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) authorised payments between October 16 and November 11, 2024, to 619,751 farmers, totaling 854.87 million euro (4.25 billion lei), as part of the advance payment campaign for the 2024 application year, APIA announced on Tuesday, informs Agerpres.
So far, 608,275 beneficiaries, both individuals and legal entities, have received 713.45 million euros (3.55 billion lei) from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF).
According to the source, for the 2024 Campaign, payments from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and co-financing from the National Budget (BN1) are being made by the Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR).
Payments for interventions funded by the EAGF are made in lei, at an exchange rate of 4.9753 lei/euro, while payments for measures funded by the European agricultural fund for rural development (EAFRD) are made at an exchange rate of 4.9756 lei/euro.
