People's Movement Party (PMP) Chairman Eugen Tomac on Saturday said that the presidential election must show everyone that Romanians know how to choose a leader who will rise to the level of the values of history, highlighting that Nicusor Dan will be "the next president of Romania", Agerpres reports.
"Romanians justifiably expect more from the political class. It is clear that abuses have been committed, it is clear that public money has been squandered, it is clear that healthcare is in shambles, it is clear that culture and heritage are despised, it is clear that education does not matter to them. We cannot be a nation respected by all as long as we cannot invest in education, as long as we cannot invest in the future of our children. We must break this circle of impotence, show everyone that Romanians know how to choose a leader who will rise to the level of the values of history and the place that Romania must have in Europe and in the world," said Tomac at the PMP Congress.
He asked the PMP delegates to show their support for Nicusor Dan's candidacy in the presidential election in May."We are living this moment today, and we have the obligation to do everything in our power for the future of this country. The vote I ask from you in the next few moments is to support the most prepared, the most credible, the best right-wing candidate Romania can offer today. And this leader is none other than the Mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, the next president of Romania," Tomac added.
