The "George Enescu" Philharmonic will celebrate National Culture Day on Wednesday with a series of activities dedicated to audiences of all ages, informs Agerpres.
"On Wednesday, January 15, the 'George Enescu' Philharmonic invites you to celebrate National Culture Day through a series of activities aimed at audiences of all ages, with a special focus on young people," reads a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday.
At the same time, the Romanian Athenaeum will be open for free visits within the available schedule, and in the evening, at 6:00 PM, there will be an extraordinary recital featuring works from Romanian musical creation.
Thus, on January 15, the public is invited to the following events:
* 4:00 PM - The "George Enescu" Philharmonic organises a guided tour of the Romanian Athenaeum, presented by musicologist Octavia Dinulescu, during which the public will discover the building's history and its role in Romania's cultural and scientific progress. Entrance is free.
* 6:00 PM - As part of the educational season, an extraordinary recital will be performed by Corina Mitroi (violin), Eugen Bogdan Popa (cello), and Anamaria Biaciu-Popa (piano).
The programme includes works by George Enescu, Iacob Muresianu, Constantin Dimitrescu, Myriam Marbe, Ludovic Feldman, Constantin C. Nottara, and Tudor Ciortea. The commentary will be provided by musicologist Cleopatra David. Entrance is free.
