The National Public Health Institute (INSP) on Tuesday reported that between January 6 and 12, 162 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were reported in Romania, up 86.2% from the previous week.
According to INSP, 52 of the new cases were in reinfected patients who tested positive more than 90 days after the first infection.
So far, 69,243 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in Romania.
As of this week, 3,582,293 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were recorded in the country.So far, 14,039,058 RT-PCR tests and 15,169,720 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide.
