President-elect Nicusor Dan on Tuesday evening sent a message assuring that Romania is keeping its "strong commitment" to the relationship with the U.S.
"I appreciate the message sent by the @AmbasadaSUA. I want to assure all Americans of Romania's strong commitment to our relationship with the United States in every aspect of our strategic partnership. I am confident that Romania will enjoy a remarkable relationship with the Trump administration and that the U.S. will continue to be a guarantor of security and development for our country. Everyone understands how important our relationship with the United States is for us, Romanians," Nicusor Dan wrote in a message in English on X.
In context, he mentioned the cooperation between Romania and the U.S. in the military area, the energy partnerships, as well as the development of trade relations between the two countries.
The United States Embassy in Romania on Tuesday said that it looks forward to working with Nicusor Dan as President of Romania and with the new Government to promote shared priorities such as defense, energy and trade partnerships.
