Foreign Affairs Minister Luminita Odobescu participates on Tuesday and Wednesday in the meeting of foreign ministers from NATO member states, taking place in Brussels.
According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) press release sent to AGERPRES, the meeting includes three sessions, approaching the developments in NATO's southern neighbourhood, the developments in Ukraine, including Russia's attacks on critical infrastructure, the involvement of the armed forces of North Korea, the NATO - Ukraine relation, with a focus on domestic reforms, and the NATO - EU cooperation.
The last session will be devoted to NATO's strategic agenda, the allied priorities in the perspective of The Hague Summit, particularly the consolidation of measures for the eastern flank strengthening, as part of the allied response to Russia's threats, MAE points out.
The talks in the session devoted to the southern neighbourhood will take place with the participation of King Abdallah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The session devoted to Ukraine will be in a NUC format (NATO - Ukraine Council), with the participation of the Kyiv Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
