The Standing Electoral Authority (AEP) on Monday announced that, given the adoption of Government Decision 4/2025 according to which the presidential election will take place on May 4, electoral competitors can now start collecting signatures in support of candidacies.
The signatures of support can only be collected in physical format, according to an established form.
The list of supporters must include the date of the election, the first name and surname of the candidate, as well as the first name and surname of the voter who supports the candidacy, date of birth, address, name of the identity document, series and number and the signature of the voter.
Also, at the end of the list, the person who drew it up will fill in a bona fide declaration attesting to the veracity of the signatures.
