The ninth edition of the Christmas Story Fair starts on Friday at the Comic Opera for Children (OCC), in Bucharest, informs Agerpres.
According to a press release from the organizers, sent to AGERPRES, this year's edition of the fair comes with a variety of special activities, including the Elves' Workshops, where children and families can participate in creative sessions. Some of the most popular activities include making Christmas decorations, modeling gingerbread figurines and making traditional wreaths.
A premiere at this year's fair is the 7D experience 'VR Adventure in Santa's Sleigh. Also, in the Opera's courtyard children are expected to participate in the "Santa's Sleigh Ride" and visit the "Grinch's Grotto", "Magic Elevator", "Children's Ice Rink", "Children's Ice Rink", "The Toy Carousel", "The Magic Wheel", "The Reindeer Court", "The Carolers' Scene" or "Santa's Shop".
One of the attractions on offer, also for the first time this year, is the "Time Tunnel", through which participants meet two emblematic figures from Romania's history: Queen Maria and King Ferdinand. This unique experience is also an occasion to mark Romania's National Day, celebrated on December 1, a date that recalls the Great Union of 1918, a crucial historical moment, accomplished under the reign of King Ferdinand and Queen Maria.
From December 20 to 29, a new horse show will be presented at the Christmas Story Fair. The concept, signed "Fairy Tales with Horses", is a special one: juggling with fire, birds of prey, all on horseback. The show tells the story of the Day and the Night, when they fought for supremacy over the earth, before reconciling and sharing the blessings of blessings on mankind.
As many as 112 performances of titles from the repertoire of the Comic Opera for Children are scheduled in the performance halls. Among them are "Swan Lake", "The Abduction from the Seraglio", "Christmas Carol", "Night in Venice", "Heidi", "Onyx and Barton" or the special winter concert for babies and "Bubu Hohoho", which brings Christmas carols and songs in an atmosphere accessible to the youngest spectators.
