The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday's session higher, with turnover reaching 9.71 million RON (1.95 million euros) 40 minutes into the trading.
The main BET index, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, saw an appreciation of 2.18%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, was up 2.18%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 2%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, was up 2.11%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs increased by 0.30%, while the BET-NG index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector gained 2.01%.
According to the BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Sinteza (+5.57%), Mecanica Ceahlau (+4.41%) and Carbochim (+3.76%).
On the other hand, the shares of UCM Resita (-5.6%), Vrancart (-4.55%) and Prebet Aiud (-4.41%) were in decline.
