The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's session lower, with the value of transactions falling to 48.98 million RON (9.66 million euros), from 82.89 million RON (16.30 million euros) in the previous session.
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.64%, to the value of 17,234.52 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed down by 0.65%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a decline of 0.48%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, "lost" 0.03% of its value.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, depreciated by 0.06%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, closed down by 0.82%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed with a decrease of 0.79%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 17.31 million RON, followed by shares of Fondul Proprietatea, with 3.69 million RON, and Hidroelectrica, with 3.46 million RON.
The best developments were recorded by shares of Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (+24.93%), Altur (+7.62%) and Ropharma (+7.28%).
On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Sinteza (-14.81%), UAMT (-14.29%) and Romcab (-12.94%).
